Natural active ingredients of pharmaceutical interest

This topic groups together research aimed at the isolation, characterisation, quantitative analysis and evaluation of biological activity in in vitro and in vivo systems of natural active ingredients of pharmaceutical interest. In particular, extractive and chromatographic, spectroscopic (UV-Visible, NMR) and mass spectrometric techniques are used. In addition to the analytical aspect, the laboratory is equipped with molecular and cellular biology equipment for the evaluation of efficacy in cellular models.
